Watch Repair

Battery Replacement – Faini Designs Jewelry Studio will change the battery(s) in most watches with few exceptions.  We have an extensive inventory of watch batteries for common quartz movements on hand.  The replacement can be done in most cases ‘same day’ or in just a couple of days if parts are needed.

Watch Band Replacement – Faini Designs Jewelry Studio offers a selection of replacement straps, which can dramatically enhance the appearance of a well-worn timepiece.  We offer crocodile, lizard, alligator, ostrich and more in both custom and standard sizes and colors.  Many choices are available for the Philip Stein line of watches.  Metal link bracelets, metal stretch bands and ‘specialty’ watchbands are also available from several vendors we deal with.

Watch Pin Replacement – Faini Designs Jewelry Studio offers spring bars in various lengths including single shoulder and double shoulder.  Threaded and non-threaded are either ordered from a manufacturer or if needed fabricated by Faini Designs Jewelry Studio.

Watch Case Gasket Replacement – Faini Designs Jewelry Studio carries an assortment of gaskets to be installed when needed to help ensure the water resistance of the watch.  New replacement gaskets are highly encouraged to be installed when the current one is broken, pinched, partially cut, stretched etc.  The only way to determine the need for a gasket is (a) if there is moisture getting inside of the watch – this could also be from other smaller gaskets found under the crown(s) and/or button(s) on specialty watches such as chronograph watches (b) it is discovered when the back is removed to replace the battery.

Watch Refurbishing – Faini Designs Jewelry Studio offers cleaning, polishing, applying finish, etc on the outside of watch cases and watchbands.  In most cases, watches are dis-assembled from their bracelet to do this type of work and re-assembled when completed.  This service does include most all fine lines of watches.

Watch Movement Repair – Faini Designs Jewelry Studio is limited to what they can do ‘in house’ when it comes to anything more than what has been listed above.  Hands or dial markers can be re-attached in most cases.  Beyond that the watch must be shipped to an outside watch repair location.  There is a $30.00 non-refundable fee to ship.  An estimate for the needed parts/labor will then be determined.  It is then decided by the client on whether to continue with the project or have the watch returned not done.
