Did you know that over 300,000 children in the US are diagnosed with juvenile arthritis? Juvenile arthritis is a painful disease that causes debilitating joint destruction, and presently there is no cure.
As research is continued to find a cure, the Arthritis Foundation held an event this September to help raise needed funds. The 5th Annual Art for Arthritis Dinner & Auction paired children in our area, who are fighting juvenile arthritis, with a local mentor artist. Together, each pair created a collaborative piece of art. The evening consisted of food and fun, including a live auction featuring the art that was created by the children and local artists. In addition, a silent auction with donated items was held.
Faini Designs Jewelry Studio donated a Sapphire pendant valued at $1100 to the silent auction.
The kids, families, and artists had a great time, and worked together to raise much-needed funds for arthritis education & research, advocacy, & a cure! Over the past 5 years, the event has continued to grow.
