One of our company values at Faini Designs is to give back to the community of Sioux Falls. We've recently had the opportunity to support HorsePower, The Compass Center, and Jr. Sioux Wheelers through the Parrotheads of the Prairie Make a Difference Event! The event was held on February 4, 2017 at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Sioux Falls. Attendees were able to participate in raffles and a silent auction, while dancing to Jimmy Buffet music. Tropical attire was highly encouraged, so many attendees were dressed in Hawaiian shirts, shorts, flip flops, and hula skirts. Some brave women even sported cocounut bras!
The event raised a total of $29,000--- with $12,000 given to HorsePower, $12,000 given to The Compass Center, and $5,000 given to Jr. Sioux Wheelers!
The Parrotheads of the Prairie present Make a Difference 2017! Jimmy Buffett tribute band Rick Lamb and the Phin Addicts are back again this year bringing the tropical spirit rocking back to life.
There will be raffles, a silent auction, gift ideas for that Jimmy Buffett fan in your life and you can dance your flip-flops off! In fact tropical attire is strongly encouraged, so dig out your shorts, flip-flops, hula skirt, and coconut bra and limbo on down!
The party is a blast, but every year, the best part is the fact that all money raised goes to organizations which help children and their families. This year P.H.O.P has chosen three:
- Horsepower– -they do therapy with horses for special needs children
- The Compass Center– -provides counseling to children who are victims of domestic & sexual abuse
- Jr. Sioux Wheelers – -provide athletic opportunities to wheelchair-bound children from elementary through high school.

Parrot Heads of the Prairie is a club full of Jimmy Buffett fans. Their slogan is "Party with a Purpose," which means they try to raise money for local charities and have a lot of fun doing it.
