The History Of Faini

Started by Larry Faini in 1950, as F & H Repair, the focus was primarily on expert jewelry repair. Larry’s eldest son, Gerard, joined his father in 1978, followed shortly after by Thomas, Gerard’s younger brother, in 1981. With the addition of these two talented craftsmen, F & H began manufacturing their own line of custom jewelry, and continue to do so, yet today, creating one-of-a-kind jewelry for individuals and stores worldwide.

The F & H name, and reputation, not only grew by creating the world’s finest jewelry, but also due to their development and patent of the SureFit Shank, offering the ability to easily adjust and size any ring to the customer. Also, during this same short period, the signature Faini watch was created. These fabulous, handcrafted timepieces are the only watch completely created in the USA, and are truly works of art.

The year 2000 marked several milestones for this talented family and their growing business. Their 50th year in business was celebrated with the opening of their retail division, aptly named Faini Designs Jewelry Studio. Due to their level of expertise, and unsurpassed abilities, Gerard and Thomas had been given the opportunity to create custom designs for celebrities, world-renowned jewelers such as Cartier and Tiffany, even the English Parliament, but they could now proudly offer their talents and personalized, custom pieces to their customers right here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Since 2000, Faini Designs Jewelry Studio has continued to stay abreast of the advances, new technologies, and changes in jewelry design, while maintaining the quality, and creativeness of handcrafted custom pieces. Due to the excellence and uniqueness of their jewelry, Faini has won more than eighteen coveted awards, including the recent honor of the first jeweler in South Dakota to win a national award from the Jewelers of America Affiliate Design Competition.

And, now, Faini Designs Jewelry Studio is beginning a whole new era, bringing in the third generation of Faini craftsmen, with Thomas’s son, Justin, and Gerard’s sons Nic and Nathan. Plus with the opening of their inviting new store, offering an extensive showroom filled with not only their custom designs, but also with several new product lines from premier manufacturers, gift items, an incredible diamond inventory and other exciting surprises.
